Anger
Anger is one letter short of danger. Anger if unchecked will influence your life on every level
There are different types of therapy with not one size to fit all, each will focus on specific issues, counselling or a life coach is more for the present-day difficulties we experience, psychotherapy can be longer and maybe deep root issues which have not been dealt with along the way to adulthood. The techniques a therapist will use will depend on the individual and the type of therapy they practice.
I am Diana Churchill working in my earlier years with people with learning disabilities after studying psychology sociology and social welfare at Poole and Bournemouth college receiving a diploma.
I went into the field simply because I didn’t understand why I made the decisions I did in life. Life then was just so dam hard, I always questioned knowing in my subconscious something was wrong. I thought my life was normal, define as normal as when we are growing up we only experience the family unit we are in.
There can be deep-rooted elements as many psychologists say life is a stage and we have to deal with each stage of life if it’s at 20 or 70 years old. It’s there waiting for us to deal with often coming when we least expect it.
We have to be positive and patient as we can heal, it’s okay to feel confused, scared, tense, and angry or any other emotions that come up. I have learned these feelings are a normal part of the healing process and there is no rush to get past them.
They are the journey of life and its okay to sit with them and experience them. My personal journey then took me to Spain where I have been for the last 25 years. I arrived with my 3 children with busy years to follow being a working mum.
The last few years have been life-changing again. I returned to working in the mental health system in Maidstone a few years ago where I then studied mental health followed by counselling and psychotherapy which resulted in me realising that my life’s journey, my heart and passion is working and helping adults face their life obstacles.
